The CT-X series is equipped with AiX Sound Source, which produces a variety of sound qualities from powerful bass to clear treble. The extraordinary processing power of the high-performance LSI reproduces the natural charm of acoustic instruments, such as the pleasant sound progression when a piano key is struck, the feeling of a drum performance or jubilant strings. Dynamic sound progressions also add extraordinary expressiveness to the electronic sound.

The high-speed digital signal processor is also used for each sound type, such as melody, backing drum and bass, or organ. Even the standard ensemble for a keyboard contributes to an expressive performance with a distinct sound for each instrument.

With 100 preset DSP effect types, you can change sounds to sound exactly the way you want them to. Includes reverb, chorus and delay system effects. The effects can be adjusted on the fly to give your music the best expression during live performances.

With the extensive memory function you can save your preferred settings

Save up to 128 detailed keyboard settings for tones, rhythms and tempo. You can instantly recall and change the settings as needed to deliver a thrilling stage performance.

Recording phrases for playback with phrase pads

Record phrases to have them ready for use at the moment you need them and play them back at the touch of a button. Tracks that one person couldn’t perform alone, such as band or ensemble performances, can be easily recorded using synchronized playback using the four phrase pads.

Full production features for composing your own music

Record your own compositions with the 17-track MIDI recorder

The keyboard is equipped with a MIDI recorder with 16 tracks and a system track, so you can record up to 10 of your own pieces, each with around 40,000 notes. It also supports step recording and editing of the recorded data. You take advantage of multi-track recording to record the parts of each instrument on separate tracks before merging the whole piece.

42-channel mixer for merging multiple parts

The keyboard is equipped with a multi-channel mixer that is ideal for mixing. Refine expression during performance or make fine adjustments to pieces of music by controlling sound and effects with precise channel control.

User-created rhythms

You can create original accompaniment patterns with up to 8 parts. The keyboard is also equipped with numerous editing functions. These include a simple editing function that lets you create your own rhythm based on a built-in rhythm, a real-time recording function for directly entering and saving rhythms, or mixer settings for controlling the balance of individual tracks or the effect levels.

Ready for expansion

Numerous expansion ports for game performance, songwriting and editing

The keyboard has numerous connections for computers and audio devices. You can even play along with music from a connected audio player. There are also jacks that can be assigned to a sustain or expression pedal.

Playback of WAV audio data

Using the USB device port, WAV audio files stored on a USB storage device can be played via the keyboard.

User area and data manager software

You can save recorded song data along with the tones and rhythms you’ve edited in the user area. Use Casio’s Data Manager to transfer the data to a computer for storage so that it can be loaded onto another CT-X keyboard.
